LA’s City Council voted unanimously to notify renters of their obligations to pay hotel taxes for revenues earned via Airbnb and other such short-term rental platforms.
First steps require the Office of Finance to put together a list of such renters and to notify them of the tax.
Approximately 4500 units are available in the LA area, more on this as it develops.
